Why Ask..

 High hopes, free falling hard
Crushing dreams, leaves reality scarred

Your expectations, have no limits
Many hours pass, seeming more like minutes

An endless circle, a hidden hell
The cost of karma, secrets priced to sell

Forgotten memories, rise from their rest
A subconscious mind, true lies but confessed

Winds change, as tides turn
Actions speak louder, as do lessons we learn

Drifting raw emotions, bleeding out to sea
Submurge into submission, guilt ridden yet plainly free

Side by side in a crowded room, never standing more alone
Familiar surroundings change, as faces blur into unknown

Reaching out to others, in a bid to reconnect
Be it better late then never, tries to salvage self respect

Recognize your boundaries, can't hide when there's distress
No whispers on the breeze today, through silence find success

Why save the souls of those who sinned, hynsight rectifys their choice
Confessions made as echoes cave, lacking courage to raise ones voice

Afraid of rejection, so you roll the dice again
All cards on the table, still you shield your heart from pain

Cleaning out the closet, putting darker days to rest
The ultimate illusion clear, final skeletons all confessed

At times your own worst enemy, Injecting fear into your spine
Holding onto yesterday, afraid to cross the finish line

Knowing that it hurts, when we reach the top and fall
Relentless aspirations, memoirs heeding natures call

Call me the exception, problematic to the cause
Sending out an SOS, grounds for premature applause.
