A Memory Revived
Meet me under that bare, gray tree
Our place that no one knows
Kiss me gently in that loving way
Help me forget and let go
Soothe away the painful memories
Leave them in the past today
Go back to where love first found us
We don't have to go far away
Just back under that bare, gray tree
Lay me down on that bed
That one of dead, brown leaves
Not a worry in our heads
The air is chilly, but our hearts are not
Peace of mind in your arms
Your lips chasing all my doubt away
You're all I need to be warm
Just you and me, with our lips and a smile
Holding each other tightly
Not a worry, nor a hurt, nor a care
Under that bare, gray tree
Our place that no one knows
Kiss me gently in that loving way
Help me forget and let go
Soothe away the painful memories
Leave them in the past today
Go back to where love first found us
We don't have to go far away
Just back under that bare, gray tree
Lay me down on that bed
That one of dead, brown leaves
Not a worry in our heads
The air is chilly, but our hearts are not
Peace of mind in your arms
Your lips chasing all my doubt away
You're all I need to be warm
Just you and me, with our lips and a smile
Holding each other tightly
Not a worry, nor a hurt, nor a care
Under that bare, gray tree
