War without a fight

Burning of old letters
Flames going off on the words that read forever
Pictures are now memories that haunt your mind
Remembering the place and time
Trying to figure where did it all change
denying the love in her heart that still remains
Days go by without talking nor seeing one another
Hoping in her heart that she just wasn't some other
Hoping she meant something strong and lasting
Not something just for the time passing
Her heart and emotions are numb
Unable to feel reality but she tries to have fun
Just a regular girl who thought she found the one
The one to change her life into something adventurous and worth it all
The one she thought she would be able to even love if she falls
But just like that reality kicked in and the fairy tale ended
But this time it was no happy ending, she couldnt even pretend
Pretend for a split second that it wasn't real
Unable to sleep or even eat a meal
Her heart is not only broken but its no longer there
Just like the love she thought they shared
It all disappeared that night
No more love the war ended without a fight
