Ignorance was Bliss
Alive,
Was what I thought I was
Happy and content to just be
But then something grew
A stir of feelings
Awakened from a place long abandoned
The empty cavernous space
Where my heart use to reside
It sought this barrenness out and
Filled me up
Fulfilled was just sated after all
I danced upon the sun
On tender toes without a singe
I was untouchable in my mind
A giant amongst gnats
Alas,
It is gone now and
I overflow with grief and pain
To the bowels of hell
With one felled swoop
Now I can't escape
Oh, why was I led to this place
