Mom
I've known you from the start
Even though you left me high and dry
Not even two years old
You give me up to get high
As I grew up it didn't matter
I wanted you in my life
But you rarely show up
Raising expectations high
If the pain was only mine to bear
I could take it all in
But how could you not care
Three daughters, my sisters
Left without a mom to confide in
You left us in a world that's cruel and dark
Don't crawl back again
You left us more than once
You've left your final mark
Even though you left me high and dry
Not even two years old
You give me up to get high
As I grew up it didn't matter
I wanted you in my life
But you rarely show up
Raising expectations high
If the pain was only mine to bear
I could take it all in
But how could you not care
Three daughters, my sisters
Left without a mom to confide in
You left us in a world that's cruel and dark
Don't crawl back again
You left us more than once
You've left your final mark
