Hushed Voices.
Hushed voices screaming in the rain
Hushed voices crying from the pain
Society silenced us from what we thought we deserve
I used to play as a child
I didn't care about what I would wear,
I didn’t care about my hair,
I didn’t care what people would think,
And I didn’t care about having a perfect waist line
Did they tell you, you weren’t perfect?
Did the steal your happiness?
Did they steal the real you?
96 suicides everyday
Like hushed voices crying in the rain
Just screaming for you to hear them now,
Maybe they’ll listen now
Why does someone have to die before people begin to care?
Hushed voices crying in the rain,
I say its time for the hushed voices crying in the rain,
I say its time for hushed voices to be set free.
Hushed voices crying from the pain
Society silenced us from what we thought we deserve
I used to play as a child
I didn't care about what I would wear,
I didn’t care about my hair,
I didn’t care what people would think,
And I didn’t care about having a perfect waist line
Did they tell you, you weren’t perfect?
Did the steal your happiness?
Did they steal the real you?
96 suicides everyday
Like hushed voices crying in the rain
Just screaming for you to hear them now,
Maybe they’ll listen now
Why does someone have to die before people begin to care?
Hushed voices crying in the rain,
I say its time for the hushed voices crying in the rain,
I say its time for hushed voices to be set free.
