Red Lights
I watch in amazement
As I look into the stark
I catch glimpses of days gone by
And my life flashes before me.
Why can't I see into my consciousness?
I no longer can feel my limbs.
I feel cold.
I shiver.
I tremble.
Where do I go from here?
Do I cower in the corner?
Do I cower in fear?
Fear.
Such a strong word.
It breeds ignorance, but yet, it feeds my hunger.
Can I rest my eyes?
I am but a tired child.
I lost my heartbeat moons ago.
I cannot resist my last breath of air.
Give it to me, will you?
I need the last whiff of golden oxygen.
I can't blink.
I cannot move.
