They ask me to remember what went on.
Simple enough, right? In order
If you like?
All was good, all was stable and sane.
And fine - just fine.
An argument broke out. She was wrong,
I was right. I fought her
Until the moment she --
Well, alright, exactly what happened I don't recall,
After the fight, in all honesty
I remember fuck all and that's
Not my problem, really,
Because I don't recall;
And, so what if I fought her!
It's over now. All the same.
It won't make a difference,
You'll still think I'm to blame because
There's still only one
Side to this, and it's not on my part.
They hand me some bobs,
Some bits. Think
Art in the slaughter,
Only less mess and
More gain.
So I pick up my pencil,
Draw a cigarette,
A gun,
A glass of water.
What, no frame?
