What the Osprey Sees
The stronger you are
the more I step
towards you;
you take one step closer,
and I take two.
When I see
that nothing stands
between us,
no matter what,
I shift out
of my clothes
and walk nakedly
towards you.
I write how I please
and it pleases you,
and then I know
I want to write more.
More and more,
to open the door,
to shift my whole weight
to lay it all straight
and this is the thought
sure shifting exposures
and then dominate
one hand on your knee
the look in your eye
our lips holding close
my hand on your thigh
what I have said
in the patterns
of words
holds true
for the moment,
the now
of all birds.
