Letting Go Of Her Drug
She had to let him go…
He was her drug…
What she needed again and again…
It was like an obsession she couldn’t get rid of…
One that was driving her crazy…
She tried pushing him out of her head…
But some way he kept creeping back in…
She had his image in her head,
His perfect smile and ginger hair…
His sweet words were an echo…
She tried to block it all out but it was useless…
She couldn’t understand what was happening…
She had to let him go… she had to…
Either way he was leaving…
And soon it would be months before hearing from him again…
Maybe even a few years…
She started to scream in pain…
Crying out such sorrowful tears…
Her hands where to her chest,
Holding her heart… trying to breathe…
As she closed then opened her eyes…
Ready to give up her drug…
He was her drug…
What she needed again and again…
It was like an obsession she couldn’t get rid of…
One that was driving her crazy…
She tried pushing him out of her head…
But some way he kept creeping back in…
She had his image in her head,
His perfect smile and ginger hair…
His sweet words were an echo…
She tried to block it all out but it was useless…
She couldn’t understand what was happening…
She had to let him go… she had to…
Either way he was leaving…
And soon it would be months before hearing from him again…
Maybe even a few years…
She started to scream in pain…
Crying out such sorrowful tears…
Her hands where to her chest,
Holding her heart… trying to breathe…
As she closed then opened her eyes…
Ready to give up her drug…
