There For Me
Yesterday I called you crying.
Screaming, actually.
I couldn't hardly breathe.
Then I realized you hung up the
phone and I thought you gave
up on me.
Two minutes later you peeled
into the parking lot, jumping
out of your truck and ran to me.
You picked me up and held
me in your large embrace.
I couldn't get it together...
but you sat there until I could.
You just held me.
After minutes more of me explaining,
screaming, apologizing...
all you could say to me, is that
everything was going to be okay.
Then I had to hold you from
going after him.
That actually made me feel good
that someone cared like that.
I told him it wouldn't do any good
even though I wanted to ride
right a long with you.
You told me you wouldn't rather
be anywhere than right here with me
because I'm your best friend.
Then you gave me a kiss.
A flock of emotions running
through my head but you made me
feel so much better.
Now THAT is a good guy that I
fell for and for the right reason.
Screaming, actually.
I couldn't hardly breathe.
Then I realized you hung up the
