Not Alone

I watched the sunrise alone.
I watched the sunset alone.
I watched the moon rise high above the night sky alone.
I watched the moon fade away  alone.
The stars I watched shine so bright alone.
I made a wish on those stars alone.
For I'm alone but not alone.
Your life was taken away from life alone.
The wreck that happend.
The shattered glass.
The twisted metal.
Took you away from me.
For you and I were one.
As a sister like friend
And you a brother like friend.
I still feel the pain of losing you.
The emptiness in my soul and in my heart is there because you were always there.
You were my best friend.
As I was yours.
For now I drive alone and still feel your spirit there in my truck.
You changing the radio station to what we both loved.
Old rock and roll and country.
But I keep it on those stations bc I feel a pieace of you when they play.
For I feel alone but I'm not alone.
Even though you left this world.
Life alone.
I know you spirit is still here watching over me.
Protecting me.
Laughing with me.
I'm not alone bc a part of me still has you.
I have you in my soul, In my heart .
I have you everywhere I go.


For a best friend I lost to a drunk driver.  I'll always carry you with me.
