New Start
I have secured a rope
And shaped a noose
Not over tight
Not over loose
Made it to measure
To feel as it should
The cord is strong
The fit is good
Many tears in the night
I spilled over you
Torn up inside
One thing to do
With a lipless grin
He starts to prepare
Waits in darkness
Soon will be there
Hear the ringing tone
Of a sharpening scythe
A whispering call
To sit at his side
Look again at the rope
Night breeze makes it swing
Broken my heart
You're not gonna to win
Why should it end
Alone in the dark
Tonight I'll not die
Tomorrow a new start
And shaped a noose
Not over tight
Not over loose
Made it to measure
To feel as it should
The cord is strong
The fit is good
Many tears in the night
I spilled over you
Torn up inside
One thing to do
With a lipless grin
He starts to prepare
Waits in darkness
Soon will be there
Hear the ringing tone
Of a sharpening scythe
A whispering call
To sit at his side
Look again at the rope
Night breeze makes it swing
Broken my heart
You're not gonna to win
Why should it end
Alone in the dark
Tonight I'll not die
Tomorrow a new start
