Her Name Was Sin

(PART FIVE OF THE TRAGEDY OF THE GOD-CROSSED LOVERS)

Loneliness has taken it toll, so that my will begins to fold
So far that I cannot regress and my mind begins to mold.
I miss her so I try to make her with a God-like process.

In my mind I can see her clearly, fair hair in the sun so dearly
A loving smile spread across her face was sincerely
Welcoming as a morning breeze brushing past our embrace.

An image begins to take form from the vision that I mourn,
The bones take on flesh, so perfect that I feel torn.
My grief and wants bind together in a twisted caress.

A pale skinned body nude in the moon light in the room
Perfection every inch like the marble atop a tomb.
My heart it flutters as the strings as grasped and wrenched.

But something here is amiss here in this abyss
It is not Faith but something born of an evil kiss
Made of an anger, need and prideful wraith.

Her name was Sin, daughter of the one who cannot win
A wicked little shift, born to tempt the world of men.
A twisted fantasia ripping herself from the rift.

Once a loving face now filled with phantasmorgic grace
A twinkle in her eye tempting man into spiraling disgrace.
For in her arms temptation never dies.

In scorn she laughs at me, then thanks me for the seed
That brought her into being, now it’s time to feed
Upon hapless mortals no matter if the willing or fleeing.

She is not just one more demon born from the semen
But a beauty wretch to tempt the lost seamen
Suckling the life away until the soul is retched.

Oh, Faith, forgive my name for giving Sin the same
Likeness of your form, for she has gone to claim
Souls of lost ones and bring them from the storm.
