My Love
I lay with my love, both wasted and spent.
But in this joyous time I am grieving.
Away from her arms is time I resent.
I must now end my stay and start leaving.
Making new plans for a time we can meet.
Arranging our newest web of lies.
In our circle we offhandedly greet.
We always seem to be saying goodbyes.
Although both our lives are filled with such strife.
But for now neither of us can be free.
She has her husband and I have a wife.
This is the way our loving has to be.
Though sad we must part, we both feel the pain
Dream of the time we will lay here again.
