final act

I'm so glad I was there for your amusement
For you to use when you wanted
Then discard and ignore
When I was in your way

Who is going to answer your calls now?
Who is going to drop everything
And come running?
Who is going to pick up the broken pieces of you?

Do you even care that I'm gone?
Will you even notice?
I was convenient for a while
Now I'm not worth the time
That's fine
I give up
You say I have nothing to give you
You say you want to be alone
You said you don't play games
But you toyed with me
Like a queen

I used to sit outside and see the sunset
Reflected in your eyes
Now I sit back
And revel
At the lack
Of inflection in your actions

So lets call an end
To this
A curtain call of sorts
To this play
Let us part our ways
No applause, no bows
Just our final act
Drawn to a close
