Rag Demon

She blazes  
Hissing and raving at the shit t'other accepts so gracefully  
most days.  
She's got a cutting wit, this one.  
Takes what she wants  
and she bites.  
 
But being this Rag Demon  
has a down-side too.  
 
She can burst into tears at a Hallmark commercial  
or need chocolate more than a piss in the morning.  
She smokes like a fiend, but for only three days  
the rest of the month she's appalled at the thought.  
She's horny the few right before it's away  
but has to settle for pleasing herself  
and usually him (with a nix on the show)  
Well, it must get out somehow, lest the lady explode...  
She needs more attention, "go away, no come back!"  
and her tolerance threshold is dangerously low.  
Severed heads fly in her wake as she exits  
a room she had entered with a scowl on her brow,  
and then overnight, she vanishes,  
suddenly  
quick as she'd come several mornings before.  
 
T'other falls out of bed in one last rebellion  
against the fabulous mom she's about to become.  
A tentative look from him is finally returned  
with a smile serene.  
 
The Menopause Ghoul  
will be worse.
