Fruitful or fruitless... This is a test!
Fruitless faith, Lord let it not be so
I need to be pruned
In order to grow
Let the rain fall
Shine the Son upon me
Even in darkness
allow thou stars to twinkle
Such is a mystery
Trees
That grow, sow and reap
A harvest
of plenty
Let it be
Not one of drought
Dry cracked land
That's thirst is never quenched
Always waiting
but the fruit, never grows
A weary crop,
Fruitless let us be not
I need to be pruned
In order to grow
Let the rain fall
Shine the Son upon me
Even in darkness
allow thou stars to twinkle
Such is a mystery
Trees
That grow, sow and reap
A harvest
of plenty
Let it be
Not one of drought
Dry cracked land
That's thirst is never quenched
Always waiting
but the fruit, never grows
A weary crop,
Fruitless let us be not

Thank you the drought was more symbolic
then literal, Yes a prayer poem. :)

It's interesting; I wrote one a day before
this that is titled, "The Wind that Blows
thru the Trees is no longer Clean for
Breathing."
Although mine could have read more like a
darker more apocalyptic prophecy and yours
like a plea to live a fruitful life using
the tree symbolically to represent yourself.
The two sounds almost like accompaniments
of each other.
Your not a Prophetess are you?
Psalms 1: 1-6 Trees are used in the Bible
a lot to represent men. Especially symbolic
in Ezekiel's visions.

Agreed that the two pieces are accompaniments to each other, And the way you described mine was exactly on point. Interesting to say the least. I also read your poem, deep and well written. With a lot of wisdom. You are definitely a deep thinker.
