Birthday Candles

I would have done damn near anything for you,
flinging myself off a cliff wouldn't have been too much.
I loved you with an intensity,
that the immensity eclipsed my soul.

And all that is left is a hole.

You were the sweetest thing in my life,
the most wonderful person
in sight of all the terrible things life had thrown our way.
We were sisters, companions in life.
Companions of the heart.
Our souls were genuinely intertwined,
alined in a way that I would never be able to replicate.

Sometimes I wish we had never met,
that God or whoever have kept
us far apart.  That we never would have built
a foundation that would be shattered by fate.

I hate Him for that.  For taking you.
For claiming your soul for him.
Hell, I don't even believe in that guy,
so I know I'll fry
but you, you'll be the trumpet blaring,
wing wearing
goddess in the clouds.

I won't ever forget what you did for me,
the wounds you healed,
the spells you weaved that made me see good again.

By why was your plan,
your fate
so fucked.
You were loved
by everyone.
So why did you let go?
How could you do it?
Your life was worth so much more,
your light was brighter than any.
And you blew it out yourself,
                                like my birthday candles.
