Illusions of the mind
Lets take a trip into my mind,
Let us see what we can find,
Journey to the cortex
Sleepless nights looking to the stars
Wondering about life on mars
My eyes are windows to the world
Yours are blind
You search but never find
Praying to a god that is a facade
You want more but don't deserve
You pitty those who serve
Laugh as they work for you
All you do is misuse
Open your mind
See the beauty of mankind
We kill everyday, because there are some who do not pray
How can this be we are like a disease
Spreading lies, cutting off ties
You say we are all different
This is true but we are also the same
Most of us die in vain
Those who believe different are called insane
You cast the first stone
Yet it is you who will die alone
We are inevitably destroying ourselves
Genetically engineered food
Killing the youth, destroying truth
Fathom and disease
Starving,
they are to weak to even walk on their knees
The people who are supposed to protect
Sit there and neglect
While they increase their checks
Only the strong survive
We are supposed to be a hive
Working together
But all we want is pleasure
Increased debt
Living lives of regret
We need to free our minds
Not with drugs, or by shooting a 12 gauge slug
Learn to appreciate instead of hate
Give instead of receive
Help when you see the weak
Instead of turning the other cheek
Build instead of destroy
Combine instead of conquer
My back may be weak but my mind is strong
So I continue to hold on
Hoping we can prolong
I live in myself
I will die in order to help
The illusions are real
No longer in my mind
What I see is the death of mankind
Let us see what we can find,
Journey to the cortex
Sleepless nights looking to the stars
Wondering about life on mars
My eyes are windows to the world
