The Daylight Owl

White and brown
a dancer calls
   who
to the sun
as glider stride
  echoes
swoop down upon

the mind listening
   wisp
gleams in dream
token totem tales
   old
as the road
floated upon feather

Wile here sings
owl, and man
   listens
intentional head swivel
reading the signs
   temporal
while day breaks
