Finally, an Agreement

The earth is on fire,
you can see it all  
across the globe
Silently the funeral-
pyres smolder
You can look and see
the smoke
 
Rising
 
On the horizon
There's an, "Event Horizon,"
The winds of change
are blowing-in, fanning
these and everyone's at
an,

"Civil-unease,"
 
Crying for peace
Someone long ago said, "The
World thru Wisdom is Founded,"
But nothing seems grounded
anymore
It appears that the earth is,

"Being Bled to its Core,"
 
If this all brings about wisdom
and everlasting peace then,
that somehow doesn't put my  
mind at ease
Because someone saying that all
this shit is, "Light Affliction,"
Seems to somehow, the point be
 
Missing
 
The poets muse deeply into all  
things
And the, "Philosophers," debate
Religiously
Maybe someday this'll all be  
reasoned-out before it's to late
 
But someone once said long ago
that the only reasoning that will
settle these matters is an  
unquenchable flame
When all nations will be gathered  
into one place and fire will fall
consuming every man
Scorching the earth and renewing
it to regenerate again
