heat escape
Breaking the eventide
in form of barely there
Cunninghams crystal
cool, mountain view
these drips in the forest
lick the humidity
as dragons fly in pair
rolling
upon the rock side
a look of heavens stair
in this liquid
immensity
ninety degree heat leaves
broken a wake, drifting
head wept
one freezes
in piercing stream
like ice sickles tingling
as your tongue rushes under
to partake the never ending
where one can complete
in perfect calm surrender
in form of barely there
Cunninghams crystal
cool, mountain view
these drips in the forest
lick the humidity
as dragons fly in pair
rolling
upon the rock side
a look of heavens stair
in this liquid
immensity
ninety degree heat leaves
broken a wake, drifting
head wept
one freezes
in piercing stream
like ice sickles tingling
as your tongue rushes under
to partake the never ending
where one can complete
in perfect calm surrender

Beautiful imagery and write Soul. A captivating piece.
Brings to mind my time in the Brecon Beacons, drinking from the icy cold springs after hiking for hours without a drink. Sooooo refreshing.

Thank You Dear Magdalena:)
Indeed such places are treasured-Cunningham falls is just close enough to feel like far away.

This reminds me of that trip to the waterfall in the countryside. The cascades of water and the coolness under the rainforest canopy. Good read, Soul.

There are still a few places in the Rockies up here where you can find these icy glacial falls and they taste of purity and ages past.
Lovely words.

souladareatease,
Enjoyed the play of the cool off the heat. Speaking of humidity, loved your line:
"these drips in the forest

Enjoyed!

Great use of metaphor comparing the waterfalls to stairs of heaven...so calm and soothing, that's all we need in this current heatwave!

Indeed--it is Quite taxing out there--I pick raspberries religiously every year...first the black then the red---I think they may shrivel up before I get the chance to get my haul--I have only teased myself with a few handfuls...
