Hello, Daddy
I know you're gone and I know you aren't coming back
No matter how much I beg
Or scream your name
Or cry these tears
But I still look for you around every corner
I see you when father's smile down at their daughters
I hear you in the music that fills my ears and calms my heart
When the wind blows I remember your hugs
And when the sun shines I can feel you all around me
Then the moon comes out and it's as if your kissing me goodnight
Yes, you are gone
And no, you aren't coming back
But in a way you're still here
In me and in my sisters, you live on
No matter how much I beg
Or scream your name
Or cry these tears
But I still look for you around every corner
I see you when father's smile down at their daughters
I hear you in the music that fills my ears and calms my heart
When the wind blows I remember your hugs
And when the sun shines I can feel you all around me
Then the moon comes out and it's as if your kissing me goodnight
Yes, you are gone
And no, you aren't coming back
But in a way you're still here
In me and in my sisters, you live on
