One Special Thing

We didn't mean for this to happen, on the day we said       " I do", would have never thought that we would part, making you suffer through.

Right now it's not easy to believe, but things will get better for you and me.  Just keep in mind that we both love you now, we will always, till the end of time.

I know it's hard, shuffling back and forth between us two, figuring out schedules, your life upside down, memories fading of the life you once new.

Divorce and separation are never easy tasks, but we will make more memories filled with a million and a half laughs.  

I can't promise you that the road will be smooth or fast, in fact I know that it will be rough and sometimes seem like forever it will last.

One day though all the arguing, frustrations, and fear, will fade away.  We will find a since of peace to our lives, what once seemed awkward will just be the norm from day to day.    

Now, you will have double everything, two homes, two rooms, tons of toys, two of every holiday, lot's of friends, and twice the memories and joys.

One promise I will make you that I know I can keep, one thing that will not fade, or ever change, not for a split second this one special thing will remain constant, honest, and true, just the way it has always, from the moment I first laid eyes on you.

What's that you ask, my precious child can't you guess??
