Too Much??

Is it too much to request, for you to show me how you feel, maybe just a few kind words, just something, a glimpse, to know what's between us is real.

Every time you tease and play, I am quick to ease, that my heart belongs to you, here to stay, but when the tables are turned, I am left wondering, do you feel the same or is my heart in danger of being lead astray.

Is it a lot to ask of you, to be reassured, or am I just left to guess and wonder feeling a bit insecure? You tell me that you love me and that is music to my ears, but sometimes just the words, won't quiet all my fears.

I don't think I am inquiring too much, wanting closeness to be your idea, hold my hand, sit next to me, and touch.

I am not asking for a ring on my finger, just some insight so I am not left to read between the lines and linger.

If you are in love with me and want me by your side, I need to know that I am your happiness, your home, your partner, your desire, not just another female you have found to acquire.

I want to feel your heart, see the love in your eyes, I want to be the one you need in your struggles and tides.

I want to know that I am the one that you long for only, my touch like the warmth of the sun.  That just a thought of us brings a smile to your face, that nothing can ever break our embrace.

Am I expecting a lot from the man that I love?  The man that I feel was sent to me from the Heavens above.  Please tell me if you think I demand more then is allowed, and I will do my best to keep my head down out of the cloud!
