Anything But The Boy
take whatever you want from me
but please don't take my baby
not with his little hands and sweet smile
not my little one who makes my pathetic life worth while
please don't take him away again
one of these days i know i'll pay for my sins
but don't take the boy
not my baby
don't take him from me
he is my reason, the only one i have to claim
so take it out on me, he is not to blame
don't hurt him, hurt me
don't, please, don't hurt him, not my baby
he is what saved me
who made me smile when all i had ever known was misery
his small hands in mine
teaching him how to count, and draw an even line
he's so smart
so don't go breaking my heart
he's my little brother
and he's more like my own then any other
*to Kenneth, my baby brother
