Killed by Kindness

The daggers behind
The plush pink smiles
Is not what I fear
But rather
I fear their urge
To use them
To tare me limb from limb
Their hidden intentions
In the words of Shakespeare
"The serpent beneath the flower"
It's what I can't see that
Makes me shiver

They begin as friends
Then they don't understand
So they make me bleed tears
Of not being normal
Not predictable
Or too predictable
I don't understand these
Hidden enemies
The shark toothed girls
Waiting for prey
Getting close
Fattening their victims up
With love and acceptance
Until they grow soft and weak
Until they rely on them to
Make it through the day

Once they are sick of
Pretending
The love train stops
In its tracks
Like a pause button
So they can tie you
Down. force your back
To kiss the tracks
They "cry" when
The train rips me
The splatter of blood falls
On their faces
Mixing the thick blood
With the salty water
And I am gone
Done
Expired
Murdered
By
Kindness
