Slowly changing

Nothing to mitigate the pain
Cryin' alone, tryin' to maintain
Changed my name, starting fresh
Blessed, but still stressed
Eyes teary, weary of those around me
Trusting nobody, to many bad memories
Choosing to stay in school
Separating myself from fools
Mind sharp as a blade
Education is the key, so I went stray
Riding alone, grown
Protecting myself, cause I have a baby at home
