You already know I'm an avid fan of the shorter style poems that say a lot. And, Faith, this poignant write says Much and More! It's really nice to hear back - via a true Poet/Thinker - what it is exactly that we Poets do or try to convey. Excellent phrasing in this piece & a delight to read. Love it! :)

 A poem needs to be long enough ( to be judged by the composer) I admire the skill of the great artists,each has had to decide when the creation is complete  the final line needs to be recognised.In music a listener hearing a piece of music the first time can recognise when the end is due, as. an approaching orgasm be needs to be nurtured In poetry,when a poem has 'gone on 'too long the reader loses interest ,perhaps spoiling the whole
