Will You Listen Too?

    One text: a friendly hello?
          A cry for help?
        A plea for attention?
        A fear of being alone?
        Do they no longer care? Did something happen? Are they busy? Are they ignoring me?

   Is there no one out there who will listen to me?

   Good thing it doesn't matter if there is anyone out there. Who cares if no one will listen to me?
  Who cares if no one wants to hear me? If people deliberately cover their ears?
  If I shout and scream and scream and people turn away? If I need help and no one so much as turns their head?

I certainly don't. Or at least...I shouldn't.

   There is one person I can always count on. Me. I am always here for me. I care about me.
    I will always listen.
