Pay the Mind
I notice the clothes against my skin,
the breeze on my face,
the birds singing, the tick of a clock.
I respect the air I breathe, and the way I consume it, the ways of my friends, the love of my family.
I understand the inevitable, but do not accept it, it will not pardon my anatomy.
I accept that what we see and feel, is all we know, but what if there's more? More beyond this veil?
What do you notice?
the breeze on my face,
the birds singing, the tick of a clock.
