Instructions
Cremate my body to hide the scars from God.
Pick a day when it rains enough to soak the earth, but isn't hard enough that you can't stand it.
Sprinkle my ashes over a luscious patch of grass.
Somewhere in the botanic gardens perhaps?
My parents were married there.
Make sure that it rains all day, into the night.
Become as drenched as me, as you watch my ashes dissolve into the earth.
Tell me your secrets. I will be there. I will listen.
I will kiss you for every raindrop that falls upon your body.
Each transgression will melt and disappear.
Once this is done, I ask you nothing more.
I will retreat into the earth, and spark a new beginning.
You can move about your life; living, walking, breathing.
