out of the shadows
in the depths you left me
without a voice
as I lie internally screaming
with nowhere to loose it
my pain became rage
turned inward
I lashed out at myself cruelly
with words that bite & cut

sunflower
sitting among the sunflowers
i quietly scribe poetry
on their petals
written in sunshine
that is emitted from the soul
delicate are the sighs
& whisperings
that spring from this source
like a gentle breeze
to tickle the senses
for them who inhale
my tender musings
while wandering
through these secret fields
i've engraved them
with love & compassion
to bring joy
on the loneliest of days...

the light
that shines within
is known
with every utterance
it's tasted
& tried
to see if it's fruit
ripened on the vine
of wisdom
for if it be true
from far & wide
the masses will come
to sample your beauty
caress every word
until it shines bright
with nuance & shade
let your lips spill honey
brought forth
from the divinity
you have wrought
from a source
of both pleasure...
that shines within
is known

touch me in my dark places
& bring light
where there is none
hide me away
in your secret garden
where the flowers
bloom eternal
never to fade or die
press me in the book of life
where words of wisdom
first came to being
& poetry was born
let me lie in the calm waters
after life's storms
may I find comfort
in the stillness you bring
with the quiet of meditation

brise délicate
you need me
to caress your ego
even now
when i feel broken
with nothing but shards
left in my tiny hands
i offer these little pieces
of my shattered soul
& with them make a mosaic
one of pain, lust & desire
to appease the god of masculinity
who causes me to bow
naked
on my knees
shaking like a little girl
hoping to garner your approval
with my vulnerability
...

take her in
sweet fragrances
awake the senses
as she opens your mind
to new valleys of hope
sprinkled with daisies
of truth
they illuminate your path
out of the darkness
of a despairing past
unto enlightenment
where your soul
truly abides
as you take in the light
that is fed
in these poetry halls
poets great & small
raise their voice
showing the way ...

let's make some magic today
i can't do it alone
with gentle undertones
they move the soul
mere words stand naked

my pain is felt
sheltered & nurtured
given a place
deep inside my soul
where it can grow
into a being all its own
with a voice that cuts
my gentler side
still I fight for its right
to thrive
it's been a part of me
so very long
to put it out now
would be cruel
& so very wrong

a child with no song
on the stage of life
humming along to other's tunes
without one of my own
