& tried    
to see if it's fruit    
ripened on the vine

for if it be true    
from far & wide    
the masses will come    
to sample your beauty    
   
caress every word    
until it shines bright    
with nuance & shade    
   
let your lips spill honey    
brought forth    
from the divinity    
you have wrought    
from a source    
of both pleasure & pain    
   
let your poems    
be soul soldiers    
lighting the way    
for a bereft world
