From the End of All Things
Does anyone understand the pain anymore; does anyone even catch a glance of it?
The heavy weight that our pasts have burdened our beaten shoulders with is almost heart-breaking. They said they were the generation of change, one of evolution, one which grew from the work of our hard-earned bond with nature. Therefore who could ever have anticipated the fall of our once powerful Empire? The fall of all in which I especially held dear, dragged down by such rash hatred and venom. My race fought and died trying to contain the plague, to put a stop to the poisoning of our green earth....

A Life Lived in Conformity
Can you see me yet?
I’ve spent years in the supposed silence of my life, wishing for you to find me. I’m forever running into new days, new tomorrows in spite of what ruthlessly trails me. Yet the darkness always finds me in the end, always cradles me again. It yearns for the caress of the sunlight and the warmth of the day, but this is what would finish it, what would rip it apart and blister it – One could almost hear it whisper ‘I am what you will become; I will envelope you and make you strong’. However I refuse to believe it’s to that which I belong.
When will you come...

Just a taste
The sky gave her hope.
It stretched out before her in such a way that she forgot about him, about the cancer, about her life. She found herself instead swimming in the sea of possibility, where she could finally breathe again and not feel the pain of another wasted moment. The train swept across the flooded plains while her eyes drank in the auburn flames that scorched the heavens, burning away her darkness...
