POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
i'm a po et!
THREE SECONDS
Every three seconds, a hungry child dies
Every three seconds, their mother cries
Over the grave, in which their child now lies
Every three seconds, for want of food
Every three seconds, a dead child is viewed
No-one to help, because they're not in the mood
Every three seconds, tick tock tick
Every three seconds, a child dies sick
Quite often this death, is not very quick
Every three seconds, their end is nigh
Every three seconds, they sigh their last sigh
Their empty eyes stare, at cloudless skies
Every three seconds, one two...
Every three seconds, their mother cries
Over the grave, in which their child now lies
Every three seconds, for want of food
Every three seconds, a dead child is viewed
No-one to help, because they're not in the mood

MAKING HAY (an acrostic poem)
Heaving lungs, hay feverish watery eyes
As asthmatic curses, reveal the hayseeds rustic charms
Youths in hayfields, under blazing cloudless skies
With itchy, hay-mottled, sun burnt arms
In the evening, the haymaker's drunkedly dance the hay
Remains of the haybox, now eaten away as...
Evening beckons, to make hay of the day.
As asthmatic curses, reveal the hayseeds rustic charms
Youths in hayfields, under blazing cloudless skies
With itchy, hay-mottled, sun burnt arms
In the evening, the haymaker's drunkedly dance the hay
Remains of the haybox, now eaten away as...
Evening beckons, to make hay of the day.

THE TABLE (an acrostic poem)
The table, engrained still life
Had a petrified heart, turned to stone
Etched oaken memories, of rooted love
Tantalysing zephyr pleasures, long gone
Arthritic dreams, decayed with age
Brittle rage, at emerald love forsaken
Lain naked, then stripped bare
Elderly severed roots, from their mother taken
by Jemia

JADED
Soft velvety violet skies
Float by jaded emerald eyes
Nature, russet in hue
Now shivered in anticipation, long overdue
Cold comfort was offered from the sun
As a cool zephyr had already begun
Clouds now bulging and overladen
Wept in silence
A soft pitter patter
Became a torrential downpour
Jaded emerald eyes
Turned red with tears
Fair-skinned, and faint hearted
Wept, with avalaching sorrow
Her thoughts, lingered like shadows
Silhouetted by the setting sun
As spiders weave webs of intrigue
That now glisten, in...

FLY-BY-NIGHT, AND DAY
Twas a horrible creature from hell
Black as the night, and mean in flight
Hell-bent, with evil intent
Whilst spewing on its prey
Purifying its victims flesh, before the decay
Like a vulture from the depths of Hades
Where goblins danced their mad charades
Whilst Cathedralithic gargoyles
Watched on in sinister glee
At tortured souls, that no longer see
This creature from Hell, had hellish eyes
Where a thousand mirrors turning
Reflected a hungry souls yearning
And a devils desire, for a sacrificial burning
And come what may,...

TWO AILED MARYS
Mary had a little lamb
Who later became Mary Shelley
Twas not the Vindication that killed her so
But the baby from her belly

PUSSYFOOTING
Oh you're way ahead of me,' said he
'That's not hard,' said she, with glee
'I can't help being behind,' he said
'Ah, yes, though you're very forward in bed,'
'Thank thee,' said he to she, as he ate more brie
'You're welcome,' said she to he, with an air of mystery
'You have a beautiful face,' he said to her with grace
'Well your credentials Sir, are certainly in the right place!'
'And lovely eyes' emotions he tried to quell
'Although I'm not to sure, of your smell!'
'Sir! You can be most offensive and displeasing,'
'I'm sorry,'...

DEATH OF A PRINCESS 1 & 2
Death of a Princess
I - 31st August 1997
A princess tragically died today
A variety of folk with a variety of thought
Made comments, had opinions, they had to say
About Diana, her death and the sadness it brought
A young girl, aged about ten
Echoed the sadness, of silent belate
Yet stated with a poignant stroke of an invisible pen
"Despite the precautions, perhaps it was fate?"
Now gone, is her enlivening glitter
A fairytale princess, has breathed her last breath
Many of the tears shed, were bitter
Over...

OF MICE AND MEN
hello",said a little mouse one day
i said "hello", and left
"wait for me", said the mouse
"i think there's been a theft"
"a theft?" said i, none too shy
"of what? from whom? and where?"
"a young field mouse, has stolen my heart"
said the mouse, with great care
i tried not to laugh, i tried not to cry
and i really tried not to gawk
because, right here, before my very own eyes
was a mouse, with the ability to talk
"now see here" said i to him ...
