Pulling my hair
Gritting my teeth
Hugging my knees
Moaning in fear
Alcohol eclipse
Twisted reflection
Verbal disclosure
Flashing back and wince
Guilt, shame and betrayal
Fixed with a little more
Rounding off the edge
Curled up tightly fetal
Chirp the sound of daylight
Phone calls rejected
Voice mail box full
Blue flickers the cell light
Wash my face and hands
Clense my embarrassment
Erase my brain
Cover me in sand
I'm sorry.

Precious
Sitting upright and leaning forward
My elbows resting on the windows ledge
Through the glass the sun shines brightly
Squinting my eyes, I focus my stare
Vision blurred while my pupils adapt
Cursing the red and blue dots
Opaque and transparent,
I see my faces' reflection traced
Studying my image, I grin softly
Smiling at the lines and creases
Each wrinkle a map representing lives journey
Some trails blazed painfully; others proudly
At ease, I slide back, relaxing in the chair
I sigh and giggle out loud
Knowing...

Boxes
I shiver and close my eyes tight
Images of the past flicker in my brain
Like a cigarette lighter unable to ignite a flame
No rhyme or reason; dark at night
The memories of my deepest regrets
Appearing suddenly in my thoughts
Haunting the person I've become
My reflection is a poltergeists taunts
The choices i once made...
Youthful Ignorance, lacking self-esteem
Embracing all seven deadly sins
No consequences paid
My guilt is a measure
A moral guide
A compass
A valuable treasure
...
