Vague
Pulling my hair
Gritting my teeth
Hugging my knees
Moaning in fear
Alcohol eclipse
Twisted reflection
Verbal disclosure
Flashing back and wince
Guilt, shame and betrayal
Fixed with a little more
Rounding off the edge
Curled up tightly fetal
Chirp the sound of daylight
Phone calls rejected
Voice mail box full
Blue flickers the cell light
Wash my face and hands
Clense my embarrassment
Erase my brain
Cover me in sand
I'm sorry.

aww.... I think I get it. Remorse, guilt the day after....?! I love the way you displayed your emotions in such a snap by snap frame. Beautifully done!

Thank you for your comment. This was a time in my life when I became self-distructive. I was in my 20s, newly married and found out my husband had cancer.

There is no soul-wrench like that of regret.
Forgiving ourselves is the most difficult.
Well conveyed.

Thank you. I'm not sure if we truly forgive ourselves but move on with regrets. Most importantly, we learn.

Total forgiveness here.
I realized everything was
teacher and I enrolled
in the class. Good teachers
seem to be the hardest.
I am sorry about your
husband.

Life is just to short. Holding on to the past will only stop you from having a possibility of tomorrow.
Thanks for reading.

If you grew up in the Era when social meant "cocktail " and not media, I know you related.
