POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I am a story teller that strives to deserve the title Poet.
Homeless
Giving her heart
Methodically;
Poetically;
Skipping a beat
letting her guard down
Smiling; she listens
A whiner in $400.00 shoes
Knowingly, she frowns
Sad for the person
Telling a tail of sorrow
While helpless people
Starve without reason
Methodically;
Poetically;
Skipping a beat
letting her guard down
Smiling; she listens
A whiner in $400.00 shoes
Knowingly, she frowns
Sad for the person
Telling a tail of sorrow
While helpless people
Starve without reason

A Symbol
"To hear;
To see;
To be silent"
I swear
Oath taken
Mysterious
Freely
Verbatim
North needle
Magnetic field
Compass point
Fraternal
Ask nothing
Keep silent
Depress
Questioning

Ambush
In the shadows
Behind a smile
Politely
I will take yours
With an agenda
Unspoken words
Methodically
Evil vendetta
Eve to your garden
I slither
Slowly
A beast of burden
Behind a smile
Politely
I will take yours
With an agenda
Unspoken words
Methodically
Evil vendetta
Eve to your garden
I slither
Slowly
A beast of burden

Purring she whispered
As she exhaled her last breath
I'm at my wits end!

I'm yours
I swear; promise
It's the last time
Never again
Truly; honest
Love's empty cage
Pleading tearfully
Begging regretfully
Hearts held hostage
Wilfully captured
Irrational romantic
Blindly hypnotic
Wildly addicted
to you...

Luminous
Early the autumn sun sets
As if persued by the moon
Short are November's days
But the cruelest day was June's
In October you turned three
Candles lit; but not to blow out
Tearful the words "Happy birthday"
A memorial for thee
Releasing glowing lanterns
Watching them float away
In our hearts, loves memory
Eluminating the heavens
As if persued by the moon
Short are November's days
But the cruelest day was June's
In October you turned three
Candles lit; but not to blow out
Tearful the words "Happy birthday"
A memorial for thee
Releasing glowing lanterns
Watching them float away

Life "here's the rub"
Thoughts unleashed
Intelligently
Problem solving
Unchallenged
"This day in 1968.."
"This time last.."
"Brie-Anne! LeeAnn! You!"
"I know! I didn't forget! "
Cruel, lives running joke
Giving of years
Wisdom and memories
Just to take, revoke

These scares;
Wrinkles;
Creases;
Tell tales
A story
Of crazy
Youthful
Insanity

Of maturing

They call me Auntie
A future broken
Lives image smashed
The reason unclear
Great loss unspoken
Breathless listening silently
For a heart beat
Pumping second to mine
In sync, together, beautifully
Never will I be named Mommy
Still I feel deeply blessed;
Surrounded and loved by many
From all those that call me Auntie
Lives image smashed
The reason unclear
Great loss unspoken
Breathless listening silently
For a heart beat
Pumping second to mine
In sync, together, beautifully

Still I feel deeply blessed;
Surrounded and loved by many

fortunately
Still haunted
My dreams cursed
I didn't warn her
She paid the price
Remorseful and thankful
I escaped
My dreams cursed
I didn't warn her
She paid the price
Remorseful and thankful
I escaped

I have many questions
Tons of regrets
Talk shows saying one thing
All useless suggestions
I always thought there was time
Time to climb the mountain
Time to travel the world
Too commit the perfect crime
"Do not regret what you did;
but what you didn't try."
Wise words from my mom;
past on to me as a kid
Her words are gospel
Forever true
But she forgot to say
Try all when youthful
Now at 50 I understand
Why they invented valcro;
The clapper;
and the elastic waistband
...
