POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Anna.
Still Waves
His love was like
A very slow gentle trickle
Wearing down my hard walls
Eroding away into my raging waterfall
We started out cold
The lust we had, hidden in a glacier
But there was warmth in your heart
You thawed it out
Til infatuation flowed into a river
It ran deep and flowed quick
But today your waves are still
And now we're in the ocean forever
Nowhere to go
A very slow gentle trickle
Wearing down my hard walls
Eroding away into my raging waterfall
We started out cold
The lust we had, hidden in a glacier
But there was warmth in your heart
You thawed it out
Til infatuation flowed into a river
It ran deep and flowed quick
But today your waves are still
And now we're in the ocean forever
Nowhere to go

Stages of Love
Cupcake.
Doll face.
Baby.
I've never been fond of these little pet names that we give to our lovers...until I met you.
Babe.
Sweetie.
My Love.
I'm sorry I couldn't save you from the hell you were going through in your mind...but I tried. Believe me I tried.
Anger.
Confusion.
Coldness.
The only thing that kept me holding on was the love I knew I had for you deep in my heart...even if you didn't love me back.
Everything you hated about yourself, I was ready to fix. Every mistake you made, I was willing to look past.
Regret. ...

I saw you before you ever saw me
Carving your initials in that live oak tree
Sitting with your friends, having fun
White face tanned from the southern sun
Watching me as I ride on by
Beautiful day; not a cloud in the sky
Oh my, oh my, oh my
But I am, so very, shy
Walking home, caught in the rain
I’m feeling free, maybe a little insane
Jeans low on my hips, t-shirt soaked through
Feet bare and muddy; I see you
Driving up slow in that old beat-up Chevy
The rain warm, air sultry and heavy
You asked if I need a ride

My Ocean
"The ubiquity of him…
When he tightens his jaw at random moments. Those minuscule seconds when my
heart attaches to the line that closes his face, that if travelled a bit further
down
you reach one of my favourite parts of his body. His neck. The saneness he encounters while riding his own insanity.
Whether its stroking his guitar,paper,
or me.He’s an artist, a musician, a lover.
His insides, nothing but poetry and if
you push up against his skin you can taste bits and pieces of his soul.
His eyes
convert you into...
