'Neath that Oak Tree
I sit by still—
In memory
At a playhouse built for me
I stare blankly—
In my mind
At all the things left behind
I sleep tenderly—
In my head
Upstairs on a bed
I catch daddy long legs—
In thought
Remembering all those caught
I play there—
In spirit
At the kitchen where I sit
I lie by still—
In memory
At the playhouse ‘neath that oak tree

Tale of Old
Here is a tale
About a boy who would fail
On a moon far away
Stood a legend on display
Destiny was writ in stone
About a kingdom overthrown
Learning about his fate
Realising the trials beyond the gate
Knowing all would be faced
Swearing an end to the disgraced
He’d fight the curses decree
Return he couldn’t guarantee
Off to battle he did go
Following the trees shadow
Finding a den of lost time
Upon the stone was a rhyme
‘Heed my words knights of old
A truth went untold
Death will...

Eternally Entwined
Sacred hearts bound forever
The melody of love brought us together
Entwined souls of two lovers
Passions erupt in one another
Holding on to eternities hand
Eagerly awaiting love’s plan
Nothing can sever our hearts of desire
Pulling me close to the current of fire
Anticipating the touch of your embrace
United together in arms of grace
Lost in your eyes of endless bliss
Held tight by the lips of a kiss
Our hunger craves the promise of forevermore
Leaving our souls free to explore
Making memories in time
Etched in the pages of our mind...

The Death of a Poet
To see a star born then be embraced by death’s dance
The voice of the poet shortly heard
Our window isn’t open forever
It only lasts a little while
Like the stars we’ll vanish
But we’ll always be remembered
When a fellow poet falls from the sky
We all feel the loss in our hearts
The death of a poet is sad to bare
But we all must exit the stage
The time to write has ceased
But the legacy we leave remains
Etched on the eternal pages of the heart
As the rainbow shines on even after the storm
Reminding us that there is a beauty
That will...

Shadows of the World
Shades of black coat the world
Wrapping it in the arms of clouds
Falling embers light the darkness
As emotions swirl in the lost sea
Forbidden realms of night linger in the air
Translucent like the worm’s silk
The moons soft glow enhances the dark
And leaves the hidden still unseen
Paint of gray washes the color away
Welcoming the mind into delusions house
It whispers of lost and weary souls
Lurking underneath the history of human rubble
Dawn casts beams into the night
Pulling back the darkness hides
And the shadows of the world fade...

Words Run Deep
They use words to paint their stories
On a canvas of paper they speak of ancient and old
Weaving tales of life and death
They unveil secrets of the heart and soul
Their blood flows in the land of dreams
Seeing things otherwise unseen
Capturing stories of the moon and stars
They look through the eyes of fresh and new
Their minds soar where no others can
Ancestors speak through their pen
Reflecting the images of right and wrong
Their souls bore for all to see
Wisdom intoxicates the world of fools

Glide with me on the petals of tomorrow

Softly whisper the words of forever
As we sway to the song of love
Feel my heart beating through the blankets of passion
And my quivers of undying thirst
Kiss my lips of wine and chocolate
And pull me close to the edge of control
