Sometimes I wonder, is it easier to keep this going?

Sometimes I am tired, tired of lying,

Wonder why I decided to uncover the pain
The pain of knowing Ill never be....

Before the harness of sleep release
the peaceful slumber of the night before,
Even before the dream that brought
calmness and serenity let go...

A question shot into the planes of awareness
so cruel, it burdens the soul and
infects the emotional wellness of one
One trying to reach the goals set
by the consciousnesses of the mind

A question with an answer that determines
the sturdiness of a restraint
A restraint holding back the emotional roller-coaster
filled with deep valleys of worthlessness
and peaks of unexplainable euphoria...
