Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. But love leaves a memory no one can steal. No one ever told you that grief felt so much like fear. You're afraid to move on because they're not here. I'm trying to put my life together like a puzzle. Depression is dangerous as a pit bull without a muzzle. It's trying to attack me from within like it's cancer. I have prayed every night but received no answer. I'm picking up the pieces of my broken heart. While sitting around piecing it together like a piece of art. I'm taking it one day at a time piece by piece. I have so much on my mind I'm mentally obese. My soul is in construction trying to rebuild. It has been empty, there's plenty I need to fulfill. Depression has captured me and locked me away inside my head. It ran over my heart like a deer and left me for dead. I can't sleep, eat, or enjoy pleasurable activities. My soul is like an abandoned house infested with impurities. I have been forgetful and having a hard time concentrating. It's a struggle and it's a shame that my reality is devastating. A lot of us have lost a loved one to being killed or by suicide. It's been so many nights you have sat and cried. Wishing you could turn back the hands of time. Blacks get more time than whites.
The police love to read our rights.
The justice system is so damn dirty.
Damn, they don't show any mercy.
They're supposed to serve and protect.
But yet they don't give us any respect.
Because it's the color of my skin.
Like being black is an awful sin.
They say we gotta vote for change.
These laws gotta be rearranged.
Living in this world we're not equal.

Her soul feels like an orphan that was abandoned with a sad face.
Long shadows of agony creep out the corners of her heart.
She's crumbling like a roof and the shutters have fallen apart.
Drowning in her own tears couldn't swim the pain was too deep.
Six feet under depression seeing her own funeral during her sleep.
In a beautiful blue casket, shocked she couldn't believe her eyes.
