HOW COULD I?
I burn again, embrace the pain
I long again, for nought to gain
Alone again, I seize the day
At peace again, I need to stay
Seething with each word
Is there any other way?
A tragedy never heard
O'er the darkness I say
How could I, with my great stride
Rip a hole in the sky above?
Drink all the rain it can give
And decide that it's not enough?
Tear down my sun from up high
Hoping my arms can bear the love?
How could I, with glass collide
And deign to yearn with eyes of blood?

A BEACH
Abreast a lonely wind
Rustling grass glaze
Heartbeat of the hill with
A half-shadow haze
That's where I want to lay
All day
Underneath the oak
Veil from the evening rain
On the rocks that spoke
Crying out my name
That's where I want to be
That's free
Melting footsteps behind
From where I used to stay
Crashing waves I'll find
Where youth can stay
Waiting for my reach
A beach
Rustling grass glaze

There's nothing around me
And that's where you found me
Pulled in by gravity
Took me away from here
Some place between vague and clear
But it's only you I fear
Destroy the curtain
There's so much more to see, for certain
Then a bolide came
With spectacular speed, to me
Refulgent beyond
What a star in the sky could be
Can't keep up, you're too fast
Holograph, make it last
Pull me in, keep me close
Take me there, nebulose

Heard the Siren singing
It echoes through the fen
Suddenly I'm swimming
Inside my head again
Save me, I'm helpless
Abandoned and breathless
The glaze over my eyes
It shrouds what I long to see
Are you still alive?
The years, they pass us by
I've died so many times
My past has become a dream
But the heart remains perpetual
It's the only thing that's real
And our fate remains eventual
No matter how we feel
Just come alive
Just tell a lie
Anything but nothing

DROLL
Yeah, I've been used and hurt
It's not the same, but worse
The whole world, a blur
In which I'm immersed
But Hell can wait another day
Cause I'm in pain now, either way
There's my excuse to burn in flames
You know fire will not ever change
But I'm starting to believe a lie
Couldn't tell if there's a reason why
And the voices say that life is fine
So I'll drown just to float by
Dogs never bayed louder
Seems time always skips hours
A hopeless climax washed away
Well, I've got nothing left to say ...
It's not the same, but worse

Here we are
Somewhere between where we'd like to be
Passersby
On a twisted path toward vacuity
When frigid waters meet my feet
So far from drowning into sleep
I watch hope begin to shape
And through my fingers, swept away
But I know you see the same as me
Cause darkness needs no clarity
But I'm alone
And this is the fate which I cultivate
Bleeding out
All the substance my heart begs to save
Even though our love has passed
The ecstasy of pain will last
Just like memories obscured...

Eating skipping stones, third
Colossus nil, a jaundiced grace
Trampling the one-way maze
Life is fleeting once you've died
Ephemeral as every lie, cried
You'd blame the jester every time
While looking God between his eyes
I wish it was I, stars in my head
And black holes between my toes
A solipsist once told me why
But I will never pass them by
Siphoned poison additive, inure
Soiled voice now redacted, pure
Weight increased, to hellish deep
An earthquake heard...

Anew, by auburn waters rest
Gave it all to watch what's next
Those memories left, undress the eye
Fixated on the fleeting, unfeeling I
Yours, mercifully taken breath
Mine, most hastily abandoned
There, where your hopes remain
Among weeds I've neglected
A choice bequeathed
By finality
Whatever weather becomes of life
Whether my roots lay bare 'neath April sky
Wander atop my head, you are the sun tonight
Spear me through, lune, between now and soon
And you, nigh frozen wastes...

With every corridor I lose
I count each brick that prisons me
As signs no longer have the means
That face that guides me from the way
As empty as my hopes astray

It's what He speaks that torments me
'Don't look at me, don't look at me'

YOU DREAMT OF FATE FROM THE SHADE
Hatred built
A coffin sealed
The hollowed wail
Of stonework sails
Maelstrom-taught
To bleed, to clot
And scream for guilt
That she had not
Sorrow felt
A nail was pried
Poured earthen slow
By waters honed
To fall in place
To shame, to face
An edge to melt
And fill the space
Ice and lace
Crimson trace
'When roles reverse
The light is inert
And you'll be further than I've ventured'
