YOU DREAMT OF FATE FROM THE SHADE

Hatred built
A coffin sealed
The hollowed wail
Of stonework sails
Maelstrom-taught
To bleed, to clot
And scream for guilt
That she had not

Sorrow felt
A nail was pried
Poured earthen slow
By waters honed
To fall in place
To shame, to face
An edge to melt
And fill the space

Ice and lace
Crimson trace

'When roles reverse
The light is inert
And you'll be further than I've ventured'
