DIORITE

Here we are
Somewhere between where we'd like to be
Passersby
On a twisted path toward vacuity
When frigid waters meet my feet
So far from drowning into sleep

I watch hope begin to shape
And through my fingers, swept away
But I know you see the same as me
Cause darkness needs no clarity

But I'm alone
And this is the fate which I cultivate
Bleeding out
All the substance my heart begs to save
Even though our love has passed
The ecstasy of pain will last

Just like memories obscured by time
That urge me still, to overwrite
I'd swallow down my sins and pride
To hear your whisper down inside

And don't you know
That you made me forget to breathe
I'd suffer all you have to say
So long as you remain
