POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
The one and only big bad wolfy. The y is important. I'm not really sure if I'm that any more.
'Cause it's Cliched to be Cynical at Christmas
It's a cold and dark December night,
that hides the city from my sight,
but the market square is ringed with light,
and the people around me are laughing.
There's music playing, low and sweet,
and fallen snow whitens the street,
an empty canvas, a brand new sheet
of paper to paint a life on.
The air is rich with sweet and spice
the ground below is slick with ice,
the stalls and wares the folk entice,
above us, the tree stands sentry.
I see the girl who's standing there,
new snowflakes decorate her hair,
I never saw one...
that hides the city from my sight,
but the market square is ringed with light,
and the people around me are laughing.
There's music playing, low and sweet,
and fallen snow whitens the street,
an empty canvas, a brand new sheet

Modern Fairytale - Yeah, another one.
I'll tell ya a modern fairy tale
with beer and vodka 'stead of ale
where rainy nights and passing cars
take on the roles of dreams and stars.
No princess here, instead we see
a girl who's feeling wild and free.
Her famous smile? A wicked grin.
Though she does retain her flawless skin.
No pampered knight in shining steel,
but just a man who's sure he'll heal.
Big bad wolfy on his chest
In place of some old noble crest.
Her castle prison, you will find
is now a castle in her mind
his shield and sword no more on show
just...

What's your ending?
So I'm sitting at the bar,
and I just picked up my drink,
when I see this girl who's looking right at me,
and I never in my life
thought that I would see a girl
who is clearly needing just my company.
So I'm looking in her eyes,
and she's looking back in mine,
and she tilts her head a little to one side,
then I'm slipping out my seat,
and I'm walking 'cross the room,
thinking here we go again - let's take a ride.
She is still watching me steadily
with bewitchingly green eyes
and I feel my lips are curving in a grin ...
and I just picked up my drink,
when I see this girl who's looking right at me,

Girl in the street
So I'm standing in the gritty noise and hurry of the city,
and I'm looking at the crowd that flows like water down the street.
When by chance I see a vision - that's the cause of my collision
with the people in my path as I turn my head to look.
Just a single flash of colour makes the world around seem duller,
like a candle in the darkness of the people rushing by.
And it makes my mind start drifting as the crowds around are shifting,
see it's you that I'm still watching while the world is spinning past.
There's one single ray of sunlight...
and I'm looking at the crowd that flows like water down the street.
When by chance I see a vision - that's the cause of my collision
with the people in my path as I turn my head to look.
Just a single flash of colour makes the world around seem duller,

Angry, f**king, Hate
YOU THINK YOU'RE FUCKING HARD ENOUGH?!
Come on then
ya bitch
we've been here before
first it's harsh words and punches
then we'Re both on the floor.
Wanna kill me?
then bring it
shred my throat with them fangs
If I gotta go out
Least I'll go with a bang.
What's wrong?
Getting slow?
You'Re falling behind
Is the feel of my body
Weighing down on your mind?
Fresh scar on my chest
Nice move
That was new
Now why don't you bite me
Scar my neck for me too.
COME ON THEN!
fists feet and elbows...
Come on then
ya bitch
we've been here before
first it's harsh words and punches
then we'Re both on the floor.
Wanna kill me?
then bring it
shred my throat with them fangs

One Hell of a Ride
Hey you!
Do you know me?
I would say you know me,
very well.
I would say you know me ,
not at all,
I would say you know me ,
but it's the surface .
I would say there’s so much more to know
Do you want to know me?
See, I know you.
I know your smile,
I know your laugh,
I know the shine of your hair,
I know the glint in your eyes.
Yet, I don't know you.
I don't know your deepest fears,
I don't know your favorite color,
I don't know...
Do you know me?
I would say you know me,
very well.
I would say you know me ,
not at all,
I would say you know me ,
but it's the surface .
I would say there’s so much more to know
Do you want to know me?
See, I know you.
I know your smile,
I know your laugh,
I know the shine of your hair,
I know the glint in your eyes.
Yet, I don't know you.
I don't know your deepest fears,
I don't know your favorite color,
I don't know...

Life As I Know It (Or something like it)
There was a time
When all I knew was
Double tap -
Duck and run -
Drive, man, drive!
But I had someone.
I loved her, I knew I did
She loved me, or so she said
She made me smile.
I smiled like a killer for years.
Cause love ain’t love
Not when it’s only relief.
Relief that there’s someone as fucked up as you are.
Course then she tried to kill me
And I left those years behind.
Then there was a time
When all I knew was
Had to leave –
Can’t go back –
Why, God, why?
And I had no-one.
I...
