I am not a poet, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express once

Coffee
I wake up each morning
the day starts a new
I give thanks to the Lord
for this cup of fresh brew
My morning drip coffee
is like an ole friend
it gets my day going
from beginning to end
The first sip is amazing
look forward to the next
been doing it so long
I know just what to expect
Now time for some scripture
to help start my day
I can feel his spirit
and continue to pray
The clouds of my mind
begin to start lifting
Now my spirits in gear
His word is...

Can I ask you a question, or a few?
Father, thank you for allowing us access to you. Many times we are confused and need guidance, sometimes we are just curious, after all we do not have all the information to your divine plan and maybe never will but here goes.
Oh Lord, what is it like to have, no sleep for all of eternity?
can You ever get some rest, in your heavenly alternity?
Now here is a question Father, silly, as I know i must admit
why with the size of avocado, do You give it a large pit?
The miracles you perform for us, glory be to You!
The ones that we did not see, why do they get...

We all have, Trials and tribulations
As we go through our trials and tribulations
We are all subject to temptation
and the persecution of those seeing us as we are.
Weak, fragile, confused, susceptible
Knowing I have been enticed and had a greed of lust,
Will I listen to my sinful nature and my flesh or
Will I have a humble heart,
and ask for forgiveness
pray for the removing of the veil from my eyes,
so I may see Your true ritghoeusness
beg that You hear my voice
and give me strength to be obedient
instill in me your everlasting hope
grant me the gift of an...

Prayer
What does it say in scripture about prayer
put your hands together with your spirit and share
If you ask anything , according to His will (1 john 5:14)
He hears you and answers, his promise fulfilled
"and if we know that he hears us, in whatever we ask" (1 john 5:15)
We can be assured there is nothing, that for Him is to big a task ( Luke 1:37)
May the eyes of my heart be enlightened,
While my mind and my body be still
may Your spirit of wisdom and revelation
be given according to Your will ( Ephesians 1:11)
amen.

Can't Put a Price on Kindness
Speaking words of encouragement
help to alleviate discouragement
this gives the soul some nourishment
and can make a friend more permanent
Lifting someone spirit intentionally
might build their confidence eventually
building up their faith exponentially
wanting to do it more, potentially
A kind word spoken out of sincerity
can help to bring a mind some clarity
and if it's done with regularity
might help to build solidarity
Kindness is a form of generosity
when given breaks down our animosity ...

With Gods help, it i never as bad as it seems
I have slipped into a dark place
I struggle
Webs of history
in the shadows
I try to illuminate (2 Corinthians 4:6)
but feel like their is
a blanket of darkness over me
My mind says familiar
My heart says
undesirable
I am as low as dirt
Is this what it feels like to be invisible
Even smells are dank
Simple things are so difficult
it makes minutes feel longer
Voices now faint
A chill all around
I pray to you God
help me to get out of this funk
I then spring forth like ...

Temptation
No matter what our stature, our sex, or race or creed
we all have experienced temptation, to satisfy our need
each one of us will be drawn out, by what we might desire( James 1:14)
including, stealing, greed,and lusting, or just a common liar
We must be honest with ourselves, and with almighty God
cause if were not, we remain a fool, exposed as just a fraud
we do not wish to sin like this, but yet 'we are not unique'
our spirit of course is eager, but our flesh is also weak (Mathew 26:41)
'The shrewd see temptation coming, if not you'll suffer...
we all have experienced temptation, to satisfy our need

If God is so good how come bad stuff happens
How dare we judge the creator, of this universe
When it is us that commit the sins, and always make it worse
Maybe if you ask it ,the way it should be asked
our little charade that we always play,may start to be unmasked
How come you stole another breath, of the Almighty's air
Just by our thoughts and actions, his holy wrath that we should bear
How come with all the sins that we have all committed
unrighteous deeds, desires, and lust we have not admitted
We are the crowning glory, of the creation of our God
Honor Jesus Christ...

Do not be Betrayed
I need a little more time to ponder, this everlasting life
I have have too much going on right now, stress, anxiety and strife
I want to get more opinions, from those who are saved or not
I have to list my reasons, incase someone puts me on the spot
I will get all my ideas together, to clear up uncertainty
I will take my time and figure out this plan of 'Eternity'
I have taken this long, so one more day, should not be a worry
I want to make sure and clear it all up, so this decision will not be blurry
I can wait...
