Temptation
No matter what our stature, our sex, or race or creed
we all have experienced temptation, to satisfy our need
each one of us will be drawn out, by what we might desire( James 1:14)
including, stealing, greed,and lusting, or just a common liar
We must be honest with ourselves, and with almighty God
cause if were not, we remain a fool, exposed as just a fraud
we do not wish to sin like this, but yet 'we are not unique'
our spirit of course is eager, but our flesh is also weak (Mathew 26:41)
'The shrewd see temptation coming, if not you'll suffer consequences'
'So stay on alert, rise up and pray', ask for wisdom with all your senses
We ask for strength when going down that road, and pray for our retrieval
"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil"Mathew 6:13

Best way I have seen these put into rhyme. BTW one of your lines should surely read:
'So stay on alert, rise up and PRAY', ask for wisdom with all your senses
To 'prey' is to attack someone.
